These booklets provide an interactive and comprehensive practice of short vowel CVC words for your students!
I first made these for my students almost 20 years ago (back then they were all hand-written!), and they have been a success every year because of the interactive quality and confidence students feel!

These are easy to prepare and build; students apply glue along the left side of each page to assemble the booklet, which means less work for the teacher and no stapling!
The letters needed to spell the words are attached to each page, so students can just cut them off and glue in the correct sequence. To differentiate, you can control how many pages they complete.

There are six jobs on each page for each word!
After cutting apart the pages and gluing together, students will:

*cut the letters off and glue into place to build the word
*Rainbow write the word, using a different color for each letter
*Print the word as neatly as possible
*Color the picture
*Draw the picture
*Add the small picture tile to the front cover by decoding the words and gluing in the correct spot – even the cover is a job!

Also included: The entire set is provided in full color to laminate as a literacy center. Students must place the letter tiles in the boxes to spell the word, and then print the word with a dry erase marker. They can also place the small pictures onto the cover page by reading all of the words, as review.
