These fun, seasonal apple counting play dough mats are great for working on fine motor skills, handwriting, reading number words, reading numerals, and counting!

Place the mats, dry erase markers, and playdough (red, green, or yellow) in the center area.

Students will trace the words on the card and determine how many apples need to go in each basket. They will then roll the playdough into “apples” to put in the basket on the mat.

For reinforcement of this skill, print all or selected pages to the printable book “I See Apples On The Tree!”. Students will read each sentence and draw the correct amount of apples on each tree.

The book contains one page for every number 1-20. Choose to print all the pages, numbers 1-10, numbers 11-20, or any random selection of pages for number and counting practice.
