If you’re looking for fun and rigorous work for your kindergartners this October, these Halloween math centers are just what you need! They will provide your students with a chance to work in pairs or small groups of students to practice and perfect skills that you have taught to the whole group.
Which specific kindergarten math skills are covered in this resource?
The following kindergarten math skills are included: addition to 5 and 10, counting to 5 and 10, representing numbers to 10, number order to 20, patterns (AB, AAB, ABB, ABC), and skip counting by 2.
What does each Halloween math center come with?
Each center comes with 12 task cards or a sorting mat with pieces. Additionally, each center has three worksheets that can be used as an accountability tool. At least one of the three worksheets can be used independently of the center as well.
How is this resource organized?
Each center comes as a separate PDF. This allows you to only print the concepts you want to work on without sifting through a long document. The “start here” file also contains a checklist to help you track what you have printed and prepped.
I can only use some of these centers because we aren’t working on these skills right now. Is this still a good purchase for me?
Every classroom has varied skills and a differing scope and sequence. My goal with these centers is to create resources that meet a variety of kindergarten math requirements. Since these skills are taught at different times of the year in different classrooms, it is likely that you will not be able to use all the centers.
I would suggest you look at which skills are covered in this resource and determine if they align with your current curriculum needs before purchasing.
Do you have any other kindergarten math centers available?
Halloween math centers are for everyone! I offer many other thematic centers by skill that you can use throughout the school year. Check those kindergarten math centers out here.
