Moon Phases / Phases of the Moon Interactive Notebook Templates – Includes 3 different templates to use to teach and review the phases of the moon, the difference between a solar and lunar eclipse, and how a spring and neap tide work.

The templates for learning about the eclipses and tides include a unique activity – students are asked to cut and paste pictures (included) to represent the position of the sun, moon, and earth during the eclipses and tides. The extra manipulation allows students to better understand the concepts. (I always double-check student work before they glue everything down.)

Please Note – although you are able to use this resource with the TpT Easel it is best used in class as a printed activity.

PLEASE NOTE – THIS RESOURCE IS SOLD AS A NON-EDITABLE PDF.

130+ 6th graders loved this page in their INB's! It nearly turned competitive in 1 class because they were trying to stump each other about eclipses as they were cutting these out. This is one of the best purchases I made at the end of the year. Thank you!

I used this fabulous lesson as groups by readiness after an assessment - students were put into groups (phases, tides or eclipses) based on how they did on the assessment the day before. This is an excellent tool for them to go back and focus on the topic they didn't do so well on. THANK YOU!!

These INB activities were so helpful for my students during the "Earth's Place in the Universe" Unit.
