Looking for standards-based activities about perspective and point of view that will have your students focused and engaged? This Perspective and Point of View Learning Stations activity is just what you need! Your students will rotate through 6 stations, each including thought-provoking questions about perspective and point of view, as well as how they relate to characters, events, and author’s purpose.

This activity comes with print and digital versions and can be used with any literature text selection. It can be easily differentiated– you can decide which questions you want your students to answer, and they can either talk about or write down their responses. Although the Learning Stations were designed to be used as a group activity, you can easily transition the content into partner or independent work!

Digital Version-

  • Google Slide or PowerPoint Slideshow- The 6 stations included are perspective, point of view, characters, events, author’s purpose, and connect to the text.
  • Google Form for student responses- can be modified to meet your class’s needs. Also includes Group Feedback Form so you can reflect and adjust for future uses.
  • Detailed teacher instructions and video tutorials to help you assign this resource in Google Classroom

Print Version-

  • PDF version of the 6 stations listed above
  • 6 station signs- great for a gallery walk!
  • Student response sheets for each station (blank version included for you to customize)
  • Teacher instructions and ideas for use

Each station has 3 questions with varying DOK levels. You can easily adapt this activity to meet the needs of your students throughout the year- for example, you may start with students answering only one question verbally within their group and then progress to students answering all three questions and writing down their responses.

This resource is incredibly versatile- you can use either the digital or print options as they are, or combine elements of both to help your students be successful as they navigate through the stations.

These station activities look simple but are very challenging and require students to really think about their reading. Great resource.
