Give your early readers comprehension and fluency practice with these fun, short digital word family passages! When students learn families of words, they can read familiar patterns quickly which improves their overall fluency.
What skills are included?
Reading Passages
There are 24 passages using three-letter word families included. Each passage is available in two levels and for each passage there are two slides.
On the first slide, students will read the passage and answer the multiple-choice comprehension questions by moving the gray box at the top of the page.
On the second slide, students will re-read the passage and answer the inference and personal connection short answer questions by typing.
Differentiated Word Work:
Choice 1: Typing
Students can read the list of six words from the provided word family and type them in the boxes.
Choice 2: Sentences
Students can read the list of six words from the provided family and use some of them to write three different sentences in the boxes.
Are all the passage written at the same level?
Every passage is written at two levels to provide differentiation for your students. Each level comes in a separate Google Slides™ file.
