Need a fun way to reinforce place value? This game has 25 slides that represent a standard form number in several different ways. Students will identify the number and find it on their Bingo Card.
They’ll use Place Value models to name numbers.
They’ll read written form of numbers.
They’ll add numbers in expanded notation.
They’ll find digits in specified places.
And they will find for example 300 less than a particular number or 1,000 more than a specified number.
My students beg to play, and while playing they’ll do more math operations in this simple game than they would on any worksheet. Instructions for Bingo included. After playing Bingo once, a few days later we reviewed again by racing to find answers. Both ways are a great review of Place Value.
