Use this sight words PowerPoint each day to make practicing your sight words fun and simple! The PowerPoint has a fun superhero theme that gets kids excited and helps increase exposure to their high frequency words.

What does the PowerPoint look like?

Each slide of the PowerPoint includes the same background with one of four superhero kids. You’ll notice throughout the presentation that the kids are in different positions, so no two slides look the same!

How does the audio work?

There is an audio clip on all the slides (excluding the opening slide). When in Slide Show view, the word will be presented on the screen in silence first. When you progress (click) to the next slide, the audio clip will play. Then when you click again, the next word will appear in silence. This continues for the entire presentation.

You can also choose to put the show on a timer and the audio will still work.

If you accidentally delete the audio clip and cannot ‘undo’ the action, you can always redownload the file here on TpT.

Can I make changes to this resource?

You cannot alter the slides themselves, but you can hide slides you don’t need or rearrange the order in which the words are presented.

How will I know what to do with the PowerPoint to fit my needs?

Your download comes with a Tech Tips file with quick tips for hiding slides you don’t need, putting your slideshow on a timer, and more!

When should I use this resource?

I like to use this at the end of the day to do a quick review of the sight words we are currently practicing – or ones we have already learned. If the students do a great job the first time, then we follow that up with a brain break. Otherwise, we practice the words one more time.

After you’ve selected your words, students could also go through the slide show themselves to practice their words during independent centers. You could also open the presentation on an iPad and practice the words at your table during small groups.

What words are included?

The words in this set are from the primer list: all, am, are, at, ate, be, black, brown, but, came, did, do, eat, four, get, good, have, he, into, like, must, new, no, now, on, our, out, please, pretty, ran, ride, saw, say, she, so, soon, that, there, they, this, too, under, want, was, well, went, what, white, who, will, with, yes

What order are the words in?

There are two premade options in your download – alphabetical and by frequency. These two options are for your convenience. You can also rearrange or remove unnecessary slides.

This is great! Do you have more sight word resources I can use with my students?

Yes! I offer several sight word resources like playdough mats, worksheets, books, and more. You can find them all in the sight words category of my store.
