These transportation alphabet playdough mats are a great tool to use all year long! Students will work on mastering the letters of the alphabet, beginning sounds, and build fine motor skills in the process.

This set of alphabet playdough mats comes with two options – full-page mats or half-page mats. These are just options for you depending on your needs. The half-page alphabet playdough mats are a great tool to place on a ring and have students take the cards to their seats to work on.

Don’t worry about your students just seeing this center as “play time”. Many times when kids don’t understand what to do, they will become distracted and off-task. These mats show how to form each letter with the dough to keep your students on task!

If you’re not able to use playdough in your classroom, you can still utilize this resource! You can have students “fill” the letters with manipulatives such as mini erasers.

While most alphabet centers have an accountability page, I do not offer a worksheet with this resource. If you would like to have your students turn in something after completing the center, they could record the letters they worked on or even take pictures of their work if you have devices in your classroom.
