This set of 30 worksheets was designed to provide students with an opportunity to practice and review addition from 1 to 10.
On each worksheet, students will create their own “code” by coloring the four crayons with numbers a different color. Then they will complete the number sentences (filling in the sum, first missing addend, or second missing addend). Students will then color the rectangles to match their code.
For example, the possible answers for the first worksheet are 1, 2, 3, or 4. The student will assign each number a color by coloring in the crayons on the top right-hand corner.
1 = blue; 2 = red; 3 = yellow; 4 = green
The student will then complete the addition sentences by writing the missing sums. Once the sentences are complete, they can color each rectangle to match their answer.
The first problem is 2 + 1 = . The student will answer 3 and then color the square yellow according to the code they created.
These worksheets can be completed in a whole or small group setting or be used for independent practice for morning work or in math centers. You can even send the worksheets home as homework assignments.
