Do your students need extra practice reading words with beginning trigraph sounds? These clip cards are designed to help them master those beginning sounds. There are 68 cards included in this resource. Each card has a picture and word with a missing beginning trigraph sound. There are four trigraphs to choose from and using clothes pins, your students will clip the pins to the correct missing sound.

Here are the trigraphs included in this resource:

scr, shr, spl, spr, squ, str, thr

These clip cards are interactive and engaging for your students and can be easily used independently or in center groups. They can also be sent home for homework to show parents what they are learning in class. And what a simple easy assessment tool for you to use to check your students understanding of beginning triagraph sounds!

Helpful tips:
Print these clip cards on card stock and laminate for extra sturdiness. Get a supply of clothes pins…the small ones you can buy at craft stores will work just fine.

Wonderful for Daily 5 and small reading group Centers! Easy to print, go, and set up too. Kids feel like they are playing a game rather than working. I love it! Plan to use at our Literacy Nights too. Thank you!
