What is the CVCe Segmenting Station?

This center is comprised of three parts: trains with a picture cues, word cards, and optional letter tiles. Students will identify up to 104 CVCe words, then isolate the vowel sounds or build the whole word.

Do I need to use the provided letter tiles?

No, this center can easily be used with magnetic letters, letter tiles, or dry erase markers (if laminated).

What are the word cards for?

The word cards are for students to check their work. After they have identified and build a word, they can compare their answer to the word card.
