Looking for equivalent fractions practice with a little bit of “luck o’ the Irish”? Enjoy the festivity of St. Patrick’s Day with these Shamrockin’ Equivalent Fractions practice pages! If your students are fond of leprechauns and/or corny jokes, this is a must-have for your classroom.

PLEASE VIEW THE PREVIEW AND THUMBNAILS FOR A DETAILED LOOK AT THIS RESOURCE!

Covering a variety of 3rd and 4th grade equivalent fraction standards, these fun practice pages focus on using foundational knowledge of fractions as well as models rather than just relying on the algorithm. Students use visuals, fraction walls, and more to determine the equivalent fractions on each page.

Each page includes a St. Patrick’s Day-themed riddle. Students use the equivalent fractions they find to figure out the answer to the riddle!

RESOURCE INCLUDES:

  • 6 practice pages (3 types of activities, 2 pages each)
  • Answer Key for each page
  • Quick Guide to Equivalent Fractions- leaving this for a sub or sending it off with an interventionist? The Quick Guide provides an overview of the standards referenced in the activities, as well as background information on how to teach the skill and why it is important to know.

These worksheets would be great for a March math center, homework, independent class practice, small group reinforcement, sub work, or targeted tutoring sessions.

Good way to introduce and review equivalent fractions from third grade with my fourth grade. Nice refresher on the topic.
