These spring rhyming worksheets and centers are a fun and meaningful way for your students to practice their rhyming skills while working with CVC words. Whether your students are just getting started with rhyming or you are reviewing the skill, these literacy centers will keep your students engaged.

What is included in this spring rhyming resource?

In your download, you will receive five thematic centers and ten worksheets.

Can you tell me more about the specific spring rhyming worksheets and centers?

For most of the centers, the rhyming choices are given as a picture and as text. The rhyming cues are never a picture without supporting text. All of the rhyming words given are CVC words so students can easily read the text and isolate the sounds.

⭐️ Five in the Hive: students will find the five words that rhyme on each card; the rhyming cue is as text

⭐️ Fond of the Pond: students will match three ducks to each pond

⭐️ Frogs on a Log: students will read the two rhyming words (frogs) on each card; students will generate a third rhyming word and write it on the line (log)

⭐️ Hug a Bug: students will determine if the pictures on the ladybugs rhyme and mark the appropriate answer

⭐️ Merry Berry Basket: students will sort the strawberries to the correct baskets; the rhyming cue is as text

Each center has two thematic worksheets that can be used in conjunction or separately from the rhyming center.

Are the spring rhyming worksheets simply recording sheets?

No. In fact, there are no recording sheets included, meaning the centers do not have corresponding pages for students to record their work. Instead, you will be receiving ten worksheets that can be used with or without the center pieces.

These worksheets still cover the same concept of recognizing or producing a rhyme, but all of the information is provided on the page for them – just like a traditional worksheet. You can see all ten of the spring rhyming worksheets in the preview.

Do these centers come in black and white?

No, the centers are only available in color. If you do not have access to color ink, you can print the centers in grayscale. If you would like to see a black and white version included, simply reach out in the Q & A section on TpT and I will add that to my to-do list. All of the worksheets are in black and white.

These look like fun, but I don’t really need centers. Do you have any other rhyming worksheets?

Yes! You can find two sets of rhyming worksheets available in my store.
